HISTORICAL SENSE GENERATION
The featured photos in the exhibition portrays the juxtaposition between our history and the world we live in now. In one of the photos, a man is pictured carrying a sick boy to the hospital in a large 'em'.
Through this exhibition, we hope to renew our
viewers appreciation for the past and the privileges we have today.

CHAPCHAR KUT
The exhibition features four portraits of Mizos in their daily life.
Mizos are skilled craftsmen and our creativity is reflected in daily objects. From photographic evidence, we see the presence of bamboo in various forms. Our land is heavily gifted with bamboo and it has now become a major source of income for the state. Our forefathers weaved with bamboo a range of goods from baskets, containers, chairs, smoking pipes and even weapons.
In our traditional dance, Cheraw Dance,
bamboo staves are used in cross and horizontal form. The male performers clap bamboo sticks to the rhythm of drumbeats while the female performers dance in intricate steps between the bamboo.
CHAPCHAR KUT
In celebration of Chapchar Kut on 6 March 2020, this exhibition is on display for the occasion at Folkland Park. It highlights historic portraits of
Mizos and their daily use of bamboo.

REMNA NI
Leaving behind the chaos and destruction of the insurgency, Remna Ni cultivated a new era of peace. In the midst of these historic milestones of Mizoram, there lies a faint memory of the everyday lives of the Mizos. This show stitches these fragmented memories into a collective episode; where the settings captured in the images are witness to the progress and development of our society today.
We hope this provides a window to connect with the eclectic Mizo heritage and lifestyle. Encountering these images challenges our notions and understanding of our community as they highlight individual stories that offer a lens into the socio-political culture and contextualizes a pivotal time period of living and growth in the community
REMNA NI
The first RECALL exhibition was held on Remna Ni, 30 June 2017 in Aijal Club.
